I have found that 1.4 doesn't detect any of my pci hardware. Could someone explain to me how to install a 1.4rc1 stage 3 tarball using the 1.2 install CD? Thanks

You could burn the stage 3 tarbal, then you boot with gentoo 1.2.iso and boot as allways When you have to mount the cd, you insert stage 3 and unpack it
