Yes. For a start, read carefully.

8. In the file or directory /etc/portage/binrepos.conf (if existing), update
the URI in all configuration such that they point to 23.0 profile binhost
directories. The exact paths can be found in the table at [5], too.

The more important question is why you didn't read the news item carefully and what else you missed. You know eselect alone is quite insufficient when migrating profiles, don't you?

Are you seriously saying you just eselected the new profile and though that's it? Or you're just trolling me? For a member registered more than 20 years ago, it better be the latter.

p.s. if the only thing you did was to eselect the new profile without doing anything else afterwards, you're good to read that news item again and this time follow it precisely.

Best Regards,
Georgi

Hello,

I would add that not following the whole process will probably break your system.

Be particularly careful about the glibc rebuild, it's the most common mistake I heard of while peoples were switching to 23.0 profile from 17.1.

Doing a backup before would have been a good idea, too, but kind of too late I guess ?

Regards,
GASPARD DE RENEFORT Kévin
