I've been having my system completely lock up on me, not even getting any logs written. Running on 6.8.1 without issues (all day)
Magic SysRq doesn't even respond.
I had it lock up with journalctl -f going on the background and saw nothing there when it happened.
Looking for any tips or something.

Don't have a solution but posting to state I'm having the same issue.
Was hoping that 6.8.3 would fix the issue but I just installed it and it locked up my system the same way 6.8.2 did.
6.8.1 is completely stable, have had it running for several days without needing to reboot.
6.8.2 would hard lock from 5 minutes uptime to about 30 minutes uptime, happened 4 times before I reverted to 6.8.1
6.8.3 lasted about twenty minutes before it locked up.
Ryzen 5000 series processor with AMD 7000 series graphics card
Would also appreciate some advice on how to get a stable updated kernel.

Thanks for checking 6.8.3, I haven't gotten around to testing it myself yet. I was getting a few hours uptime (maybe longer due to screen being locked a good chunk) but I was watching stuff on YouTube when it happened, I'm leaning towards GPU, but I'm not sure. You also have an RDNA GPU so that is probably it ...
I can try to get around to testing 6.8.3 here as well, probably won't happen today though. |

I have no problems with my intel CPU ... and yes I think it is an "AMD thing". So maybe it will be interesting for all users which hardware constellation you have; e.g. CPU + integrated GPU or external (which one?)
(Yes we had some AMD GPU patches in 6.8.3)

| Well, I have been running 6.8.4 for a bit over an hour doing what I was doing when I was having trouble before, no issues yet ... Hopefully Jamin gets a chance to try since they were running into issues much quicker than I was. |

| Installed 6.8.4 about an hour before work yesterday and did normal routines. Locked computer and left it running while I was at work. Now that I'm back home, have been using it for another hour and still have not had a crash. |
