Hello everybody!

I'm using XFCE as a desktop and before I didn't have this problem that I'm facing now:

the display resolution is always changing after turning off the monitor, it's as if a new
monitor was turned on...

In the display tab I set the resolution to 1920x1080 and in the advanced tab I enable
the dialog for new monitors, after the monitor turns off the resolution changes to 4K
and a dialog box is shown.

This only occurs with XFCE, it is not an Xorg problem, because when I am on the SDDM
login screen this behavior does not occur...

Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi netfab!

Thank you very much for your attention!

I believe that some of this bug is related
to my problem, but not entirely...

I will try to follow up on this bug.

But what is intriguing me is that there is a
change in resolution, in addition to connecting
the monitor as a new one after it turns off...

Thanks again and have a great day!

What is the default resolution of your monitor ? 4K ?
If Xfce detects the monitor as a new one each time it is turned off/on, maybe Xfce sets it to its default resolution (4K).

Hi, netfab!

I carefully read the bug you mentioned, you're really right,
it's the same problem I'm facing...

That's right, the maximum resolution of my monitor is 4K
but I like to set it to Full HD...

Big hug and thank you very much for your help!

P. S.: I will close this bug when there is a solution from the
developers.

Hello everybody!

I promised to close the topic when the bug was resolved, well, it was fixed but I didn't test it, as I switched to Cinnamon due to this XFCE bug...

Big hug to all!
