|
|
Hey folks,
so I just switched from KDE to Gnome in my Gentoo VM.
What I did was remove the plasma-meta package [1] and changed the profile from 23.0 systemd plasma to 23.0 systemd Gnome.
Afterwards I emerged the gnome-base/gnome metapackage [2] and enabled GDM.
I am using the Wayland session. To my knowledge, each application is responsible for rendering its own cursor and decoration under Wayland correct?
The cursor appears to be a grey-ish rectangle when no application is being focused.
E.g. when I am hovering over the 'Settings' App the cursor is rendered properly, however when I am just on the desktop or in the Overview the rectangle appears again.
Is this a known issue, because a quick search didn't appear to show much.
I also realize that this may be too little information, so if you need any logs, please do let me know so I can provide them.
Thanks in advance!

I had the same issue the other day, and I believe the solution was to set the cursor theme using gnome-tweaks (I set it to Adwaita, the default). |
