I added the ada USE flag to gcc so I could build the latest version of blender.
I got this error during gcc configure:
"configure: error: GNAT is required to build ada"
Does that mean that ada should imply GNAT is required, or does the gcc ebuild need to change?
Update: gnat-gpl was installed, but needs updated. I'm emerging it now, I wonder if that will work. _________________ Some day there will only be free software.

i recently started learning Ada, and got confused by this as well. Refer to bug 919667, to which i was pointed by someone on the ada-lang.io forum. |

Unfortunately that patch for ada-bootstrap didn't help with gcc.
I'm going to have to disable ada across the board and see if that works. _________________ Some day there will only be free software. |

I forgot what package needed ada. It was the ghdl package. I used that for an interview and don't need it anymore so I removed it.
Problem solved. _________________ Some day there will only be free software. |
