Hi all,

in the past I was working with RME Multiface and ADAT interfaces for multichannel recording. Since there is no PCI bus this is now history and I am going to buy a class complient USB interface like e. g. the Behringer UMC1820.

My question is: On the old hardware there was software like hdspconf in order to setup the clock rate and bitrate of the device itself - independent of the frequency which the sound daemon e.g. jack is running. You have to make sure that the device is configured on the right frequency before setting this up on jack or pipewire.

But how does this work on USB class compliant interfaces? There is no such software. Does is sync automatically when pipewire or jack is starting or is there annother way do do this?

Thanks
Erdie
