I was worried about this when working with the -9999 version of mesa.
I found that mythtv with vdpau support was working fine with mesa-23.1.9 . I was getting about 25% of one core utilization to play back 1080i downsample to 720p playing OTA HDTV content.
However with 23.3.1, vdpau gives a black screen! I can switch to vaapi, which works, but uses 55% of one core to play back the same content...
Anyone seeing this behavior?
Video card is R600 based ATI Sumo (built-in cpu graphics on a laptop). Client software is mythtv mythfrontend.
Downgraded in the meantime so I can use vdpau ...
Might be related to https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mesa/mesa/-/issues/10267 -- but different client software. _________________ Intel Core i7 2700K/Radeon R7 250/24GB DDR3/256GB SSD
