Anbox keeps failing to emerge because of a config file which is not set:
| Code: | >>> Failed to emerge app-emulation/anbox-20211020, Log file:

* Messages for package app-emulation/anbox-20211020:
* CONFIG_ASHMEM: is not set when it should be.
* Please check to make sure these options are set correctly.
* Failure to do so may cause unexpected problems.
* ERROR: app-emulation/anbox-20211020::src_prepare-overlay failed (compile phase):
* ninja -v -j4 -l4 failed |
But when I make menuconfig and search for CONFIG_ASHMEM it's not found at all. 
My kernel version is 6.5.2
Please help since this really confuses me....

The CONFIG_ASHMEM is removed from 5.18 kernel version.
For more information see anbox upstream bug .
Waydroid can be an alternative.

That's unfortunate. I think Anbox really doesn't work on pretty much all other distros with new kernels.
Sadly, Waydroid requires Wayland which I don't really like. So there'll be no Android emulation here & that's fine :)

There is also app-emulation/genymotion-bin for emulate androind on virtualbox or qemu.
