|

So, for the time being flowblade -- a Linux-based video-editing tool that seems to be the best option for doing simple video editing -- is only available on flatpak, and only available with pulseaudio. I got it installed with flatpak, but I can't get it to work with alsa. I get the following error on startup:
Code: | ALSA lib ../../pulse/pulse.c:242:(pulse_connect) PulseAudio: Unable to connect: Connection refused |
I'm starting it with the following command:
Code: | apulse flatpak run io.github.jliljebl.Flowblade |
(because apulse provides an emulator for pulseaudio apps to run through the system's alsa)
I have the following setting in my .bashrc:
Code: | export APULSE_PLAYBACK_DEVICE=sysdefault:CARD=USB |
which is the device I use for playback (a Scarlett Focusrite USB mixer). But as you can see from the error at the top, it's not working.
So how do I get flowblade to use the system alsa?
Thanks for the help,
