i'm trying to setup postfix on my gateway server. I was wondering how if possible make the mail appear to come from the machine on the internet rather than my machines behind it. I noticed in the test messages it shows the names and ip addresses of the machines setup behind the firewall, which i don't want. any help would be appreciated.
thanx,

Hello,
What you need is to setup sender_canonical. Check out the postfix doc, it's explained in there, and under /etc/postfix/sample, if u installed postfix in the default install location. I did it a long time ago and I can't exactelly remember where I made some changes, but it worked perfectlly.
Good Luck.
