Hello.
How do I get those fonts? Hope you know what I'm talking about. I had them when using Gnome2 but now I don't use it anymore.
Thanks! |

I'm not sure what you are talking about here.
Are you missing the trueType fonts? If so, there are several ways of getting such fonts, some for free from the InternEt others can be bought. If you have a Windows machine, you can copy them from there.
If you are talking about getting the fonts anti alaiased in a GUI, then it depends on the GUI. You said you are not using Gnome2 anymore, what are you using? If KDE, then start the Control Panael, Look and Feel, Fonts. There should be an option to turn on anti aliasing there.
Please be more specific when you ask a question, it is easier to help then.

Ok, I'm sorry. I think it's the True Type fonts I'm missing. In Windows there's a font named Verdana wich many webpages use. With Gnome2 came a similar font. I'm now running fluxox.
Yes, I also have Windows XP installed. So, wich is the easiest way of getting these fonts?
Thanks. Hope this will help you answear more easily. |

Yes, inded.
Copy the .ttf files from your c:\windows\fonts directory to /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/truetype directory
Or even better if you are using KDE, use the font installer in the ControlPanel to install the fonts.
How they are used, depends on the GUI you are using.
