What is DEVFS and how to install

Did this ever get fixed? This thread pointed back here, and it is looking as though devfsd may not be installed over there. Could this be the problem here too?

I also got the same warning message every time I boot into Gentoo. Yet I fellow the previous post to mount /boot partition manually and reboot again. There is no more error thereafter.

I know it sounds stupid. I did put mount my /boot at fstab and had it updated. Now my gentoo bootstrap works fine. You may like to try it out.

Also, if someone can do a little revise at "enable Devfs" section of the X86 isntallation guide to detail a bit. That would definitely reduce the confusion. Just my little 2 cents... :oops:
