Did this ever get fixed? This thread pointed back here, and it is looking as though devfsd may not be installed over there. Could this be the problem here too? _________________ For every higher wall, there is a taller ladder |

I also got the same warning message every time I boot into Gentoo. Yet I fellow the previous post to mount /boot partition manually and reboot again. There is no more error thereafter.
I know it sounds stupid. I did put mount my /boot at fstab and had it updated. Now my gentoo bootstrap works fine. You may like to try it out.
Also, if someone can do a little revise at "enable Devfs" section of the X86 isntallation guide to detail a bit. That would definitely reduce the confusion. Just my little 2 cents... |
