I'm trying to emerge php and I get the following error:
# emerge php
Calculating dependencies -
!!! Error: couldn't find match for #java? in dev-php/php-4.2.2-r1
I tried the following also with the same result
#USE="-java" emerge php
Thanks

The presence of the '#' character in your error message leads me to suspect a Portage bug. Can you try upgrading Portage and see if the problem goes away? If that doesn't work, try erasing the line with '#java' in it completely from the ebuild file. _________________ For every higher wall, there is a taller ladder |
