Can't always pprint w/ cups

Sometimes i can't print with cups. I have this problem w/ sylpheed and nedit. Other apps such as opera, abiword, and Open Offfice print fine.

oppera and openoffice have print dialogs. abiword, sylphed, and nedit have simple boxes that basically allow you to formulate a printer command (like lpr [-J] %s where %s is the filename.

I'm not sure if this will help, but you could try using kprinter as the print command rather than lpr. That will at least give you a consistent print interface for all your apps. If you get as far as the kprinter dialog and it still doesn't print, then it's probably something fundamental like the app not passing anything printable to kprinter.
