|

I've installed the ALSA driver, but I've got two simple questions...
...how do I enable support of multiple sound sources? (using XMMS and playing Frozen-Bubble...?)
...how do I clean up the sound from the rear channel? It's very scratchy. |

That works fine here using ALSA. I guess it depends on what kind of Soundcard you have.
I can play Q3 and play ogg music files at the same time, for example. I have a SBLive! soundcard. |

I think it does software mixing by default, but I'm not certain. _________________ I don't believe in witty sigs. |

I must be doing something wrong. I'm using the CMI8738 module. When I try to use XMMS and play frozen-bubble, only one of the programs will use the sound card. For instance, starting XMMS, playing an MP3, then loading Frozen-Bubble will make frozen-bubble think there's not even sound-capability.
The only reason I emerged ALSA was in hopes of fixing this problem (and I do see it as a problem...) Is there anything else I can do to fix this? |
