I have this problem, only on x86-32 machines, both real and virtual under VirtualBox. Version ntfs3g-2014.2.15 builds fine. I think I have rebuilt everything, but the problem remains. Build log:

yep, sadly gentoo devs clean aclocal.m4 which has the missing macros and do not restore them. see https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=539238

one workaround: enable ntfsdecrypt - though, it pulls in gcrypt.
