|
|
Hello!
I am interviewing for job where I will be using Gentoo on a daily basis. Currently, I am a senior technical advisor for Apple and own a Macbook Pro (2012).
I am not the best with Linux as it is, but would like to go to the interview with at least saying I checked Gentoo out. Which is the best download to use if I am creating a virtual machine with Parallels?
Thank you in advance! =D |

If you want to take a quick look at Gentoo, you can use the LiveDVD ISO image which can be downloaded from http://get.gentoo.org/
But if you really want to get familiar with it, get the current minimal install ISO image, the amd64 stage3 and a portage snapshot. Then follow the Handbook https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Handbook:AMD64 which describes how to install Gentoo. |
