SLiM gets wrong screen resolution

I'm running the FOSS radeonsi drivers, and without an Xorg.conf (just like recommended). Gnome works great with two screens, but for some reason, SLiM doesn't seem to get the proper resolution when starting.

I've tried adding screen sections in xorg.conf.d, but it doesn't seem to care about them. Any tips?
