Hello,
After the recent KDE update my samba shares are missing from the Network section on Dolphin. I got it working in the last version by setting the samba use flag for kde-base/kdebase-kioslaves. I checked that it is still set and tried also setting it globally. Any ideas? |

Basically a "me too" except I am working from a brand new installation. I am new to gentoo but have used openSUSE for several years. I can open a dolphin browser, click on "Network" and on the right there is an entry "Samba shares" but when I expand this no workgroups are visible. I have tried importing a working smb.conf from my openSUSE installation but it did not help. Running "nmblookup" lists all the workgroups correctly. Any help is appreciated. |

Problem solved on my end at least. It turned out that the problem was with my router configuration. Using dd-wrt, I had neglected to enter the "Local DNS address". Changing this to the same as the gateway address fixed it. |
