Are your sound drivers compiled as module or built-in ?
Please check your kenel configuration. _________________ Kind regards,

Can you hear sound with the test ?
Code: | aplay /usr/share/sounds/alsa/Front_Center.wav |
Are there other applications that block sound ?
- pulseaudio

Oh, I see: its the HDMI output. Is the sound coming from the HDMI cable ?
If not, you have to change the default card to point to the good one. _________________ Kind regards,

If you don't want to have sound through HDMI, disable the HDMI sound module seen in your extract.
And remove the module in /lib/modules
Then rety.
The other option is to see what soundcards are recognized with Code: | cat /proc/asound/cards |
then order them in the alsa.conf module file (using the "*index" configuration variable), in order to set the default card as card #0. _________________ Kind regards,

i can't found the alsa.conf files. |

As I see, you only have the HDMI sound card. Have you enabled all Intel HD and Realtek sound modules ? _________________ Kind regards,

Look at what codec your cards needs (even many use realtek, not all are using realtek codec):
Code: | grep Codec /proc/asound/card?/codec#? |
And check your kernel have it (for me, i just compile them all and let it pickup the one it need):
Code: | grep HDA_CODEC /usr/src/linux/.config
CONFIG_SND_HDA_CODEC_REALTEK=y
CONFIG_SND_HDA_CODEC_ANALOG=y
CONFIG_SND_HDA_CODEC_SIGMATEL=y
CONFIG_SND_HDA_CODEC_VIA=y
CONFIG_SND_HDA_CODEC_HDMI=y
CONFIG_SND_HDA_CODEC_CIRRUS=y
CONFIG_SND_HDA_CODEC_CONEXANT=y
CONFIG_SND_HDA_CODEC_CA0110=y
CONFIG_SND_HDA_CODEC_CA0132=y
CONFIG_SND_HDA_CODEC_CMEDIA=y
CONFIG_SND_HDA_CODEC_SI3054=y

Just enable them all or at least the conexant one (assuming without reading doc that the conexant id 5069 is handle by it)
Bah, just enable them all... |

This is interesting.
I also had to downgrade from 3.16.5 (to 3.14.14) because sound problems.
Does dmesg | grep sound show any errors when the sound disappears?
I often have to boot twice to get working sound using 3.16.5, and when sound does not work "dmesg | grep sound" shows these 2 extra lines:
sound hdaudioC0D0: rates == 0 (nid=0x10, val=0x0, ovrd=1)
sound hdaudioC0D0: cannot attach PCM stream 0 for codec #0
Looks like some codec recognition/timing problem... |

I can't answer your problem, because i didn't perform this command when sound does not work. |
