hi all,
the queston is: can I redirect the traffic that incomes into an UART device (/dev/ttyUSBx) to another serial communication channel, we say /dev/ttyACMx for now, without alterate in anyway the data stream properties (like data alignment, data rate, format and so on..)?

I think about a linux embedded mechanism, a process written in C language using system-calls or, at last but not the least, a combo of them.

I read about socat... you think that this solution can work properly ? other suggestions ?? socat seams like fire with a gun on an ant???

PS: architecture ARM, kernel 3.12, OS Gentoo.

thanks & regards
