I cannot get google chrome to work with java. I am using oracle-jdk-bin I have everthing set with java-config. When I was using Kali I had to make a plugin directory in /opt/google/chrome and create a symlink to libnpjp2.so which I have also done but I am still not getting any java applets to run in chrome. |

Known 'issue' if oyu ate using the beta
Google depreciated the Netscape plugin api and now only works with the pepper api.
No java has been implemented to make use of that _________________

NPapi support was dropped with Chrome 38 (or even 37?, don't remenber exactly) and that is now the stable version. If you you need Java plugin support you have to stay with an old version of Chrome or use another browser. |

Actually NPAPI support was dropped from Chrome as early as version 35, so arortell would need to downgrade to version 34 (which is long gone from the portage tree) if he/she insists on chrome+java. The official Java site recommends Firefox as a Java browser for Linux. |
