Hi, i've a problem with korganizer. When i open it, it gives me that there's a problem to connect with akonadi.
I noticed the problem occurs after i've installed mysql

FWIW, I hit the same problem, but was using the internal MySQL server, rather than an external one. The cure was to delete the ~/.local/share/akonadi directory, which contains the database, and so causes akonadi to recreate it. As far as I can tell, I lost no data, as the database is just a cache. I don't know what the equivalent is for an external database; perhaps delete said directory (which also contains the MySQL configuration in the internal case) and delete the akonadi database in the external server.

Hi there,
The problem has been solved renaming .loca/share/akonaki. In my case, however, my address book and Organizer appointments has gone.
Is there any way to recover then? Better, how do I proceed to remove such databases outside akonadi so as I don't have this problem again?

Try the "Refresh folder" or "Refresh folder and subfolders" action on the various address books and whatever. akonadi is only a cache, the data's still where it should be.

In korganiser, RMB on the tree of calendars in the lower left pane gives "Update Calendar folder".
In kaddressbook, RMB on the tree of address books in the left pane gives "Update Address Book".

Thanks for helping.
For unknown reason I hadn't a calendar tree to update to on bottom left. The solution was to import (File>Import>Import Calendar) a calender (std.dic) first and "update Calendar folder" afterwards. |
