I want to install gentoo at a new computer by a liveusb disk, it made from a install-amd64-minimal-xxx.iso. but computer can't boot. I got some error like these:
media not found,
nobootable medium found,
can't find /newroot in /etc/fstab and so on.
I found some threads by searching, but no gain. is there anyone here who have the same error?

Thank you.
I found the reason.
My mainboard is gigabyte 970a, it have a issue under linux:
By default, the board is shipped with IOMMU deactivated in the BIOS. With such settings the USB 3.0 ports work under Linux, but the USB 2.0 and Ethernet are deactivated. If IOMMU is activated, USB 2.0 and Ethernet work under Linux, but the USB 3.0 ports are deactivated.
So I met this issue accidentally. |
