systemd-udevd from sys-fs/udev-216 segfaults on my ~x86 system (kernel 3.16.2). Updating to that version of udev broke my system (well, broke udev anyways, and a bunch of init.d scripts.) I was too disheartened to test older versions, or to debug further. Replacing it with sys-fs/eudev fixed things.
On bootup, I would get the following error messages:
Code: | /etc/init.d/udev[5599]: start-stop-daemon: failed to start `/lib/systemd/systemd-udevd'
kernel: systemd-udevd[5600]: segfault at 0 ip b7764c89 sp bfee0fc0 error 4 in systemd-udevd[b772c000+4d000]
/etc/init.d/udev[5583]: ERROR: udev failed to start |
