I was always daunted by the prospect of trying out the EFI Kernel Stub boot methodology, it just seemed wrong not to have a bootloader!
Since buying an new Haswell based motherboard (Asus Z87-a) earlier this year I'd been itching to ditch Grub and give my new EUFI a whirl.
Thanks to the Gentoo EFI Stub Kernel Wiki editors for their efforts and to darkphader's ramblings on the subject - both were very helpful.
