Hi,

I just built a new gentoo box with Systemd, Luks and LVM. Everything works well, but mounting my home partition on boot time...

I get a password prompt for my encrypted partition, root mounts perfectly, all services including lvm-monitor start, but when systemd gets to read fstab and finds it has to mount my /dev/mapper/vg-home device it shows: "A start job is running dev-mapper-vg/x2dhome.device", waits for 1:30 minutes, fails and goes to maintence mode, where I can issue a "mount /home" command and it mounts correctly.

I tried several options in fstab but I can't get it to mount by systemd in boot-time.
The fstab line looks like:

/dev/mapper/vg-home /home ext4 defaults 0 2

Any ideas?
TIA!!

Regards

Well finally I ended up doing a dirty workaround... I added "noauto" to the mountpoint options in fstab and created a new systemd service to just mount /home ... At least systemd is not failing and going to maintenance mode at boot time.

Anyway if anybody knows how to fix this I'd really appreciate it :-)
