so what the hell is "git.o.g.o" ? new toplevel domain .o ?
(before this was changed the server name was "git.overlays.gentoo.org") _________________ Train Hard Or Don't Train At All |

In the past sometimes i had to delete the hole layman setup and do it on scratch. delete every overlay and redo it. it solved it for me in the past a few years ago as i used it a lot. you should wait a few days and try again, it can be a dns issue or something network related too |

Gentoo Infrastructure Status
Quote: | CVS and Overlays Migration Complete
The CVS and Git Overlays services have been successfully migrated to the new hosts.
Please note the following:
Gitweb as well as the http://overlays.gentoo.org/ and http://anon{cvs,git}.gentoo.org/ web sites are currently not available pending restructuring of our read-only access setup.
The SSH keys for the machine have changed:
DSA: 5f:c3:fe:9a:ac:a7:99:f4:d3:c1:93:4c:52:87:74:28
RSA: 24:3b:2d:3b:47:ca:7e:62:48:97:49:6a:f5:ad:66:88
ECDSA: aa:6a:e4:74:1d:73:d2:5a:9f:45:9f:18:55:81:c9:9a
ED25519: 1c:2e:99:7d:c7:f0:bc:3b:a9:fb:d0:3e:2c:2a:79:ba |
and *.o.g.o is just an abbreviation for the long *.overlays.gentoo.org |

Damn! On the advise of tw04|124 I deleted my layman overlays and now I cannot get
them back. Does anyone know how long the git overlays will be unavailable? |

I am sorry. As long as you did not unmerged those packages of those overlays you still have them installed.
You could try to find those ebuilds and copy them to your local overlay so you can keep them forever. |

They are up again .
I had mine deleted too. Best action to take when something doesn't work: delete everything and then see what happens . |
