I couldn't really find anything with a search, so I do apologize if there is already an existing thread. I was just wondering if it would be possible to install Gentoo from a CrunchBang install. I have my Lenovo Thinkpad x61 loaded with it, and I want to experiment with Gentoo. If it's possible could somebody maybe post some tips? I've browsed the handbook a little. I have a flash drive with the livecd on it.
Thanks. |

You can use any liveCD or any existing linux installation. The only limitation: if you planning to install x86_64, you must start with x86_64 liveCD as well.
Boot and follow the handbook. |

See Installing Gentoo from an existing Linux distribution on the Gentoo Wiki.
After that, if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

I very much appreciate this. I'll be sure to give it a in depth read.
Hopefully if all goes well, I'll has this thing running Gentoo soon. |
