|
|
I have a new Gentoo system and I need to install a login manager. I was told about slim because it is light weight. But after reading about it it uses xdm window manager and I use Compiz Fusion(which I start with xinit). Is there a way to change the window manager of slim to compiz fusion? |

Installed versions: 0.4.1-r9(13:13:40 16.07.2014)(consolekit nls pam -debug -gtk3)

and it works very well and lists any possbile solution so far for my installed packages. I do not run a common environment.
Slim did not worked for several releases here.
In short, you may try lxdm and forget about slim. Sorry it is not an answer but a working workaround for myself |
