|
|
wine-doors is written in Python 2 but isn't using it.
Code: | $ wine-doors
File "/usr/bin/wine-doors", line 54
print "Usage: " + name + " <command> <argument>"
^
SyntaxError: invalid syntax |
Might this be a problem with the way my system is set up or should I file a bug report? _________________ Property is theft. |

Try Code: | PYTHON_SINGLE_TARGET="python2_7" emerge -av wine-doors | or Code: | eselect python list
eselect python set python2.7
emerge -av wine-doors | In the latter option, if python3.3 was set, it might be well to set it again, after the emerge. Note that the wine-doors ebuild does not specify a python version. _________________ Defund the FCC. |

I just edited the first line of /usr/bin/wine-doors to specify python2. Seems strange to me that I would need to though. _________________ Property is theft. |

wine-doors is deprecated and abandoned for years. Use app-emulation/winetricks instead. I have a live ebuild in my overlay (layman -a seden) that'll keep you up-to-date, although the "fixed version" in the portage tree should be doing alright.
(If you check, http://www.wine-doors.org is down and gone) _________________ Important German:- "Aha" - German reaction to pretend that you are really interested while giving no f*ck.
