i want to run vmware-player or workstation .
but the new kernel 3.15 does ot merge vmware-modules.
any fix has been made ?
i get the error

You can try using vmware-modules-279.2-r1 in jtriley overlay (layman).
You can send an issue to bugzilla and request to add that ebuild to official tree.

I confirm overlay with jtriley is working with my 3.15.6 gentoo sources.
