Flexibility is a matter of opinion. You can change later, but changing is not so trivial that I would advocate changing just to see if you like the grass on the other side of the fence better. Given how many other problems you have, I suggest not changing your init system now if you can avoid it. Get your system in a good state, then consider changing init systems.
/dev/fd is supposed to be a symlink to /proc/self/fd. It has nothing to do with floppies. |
