I have windows on my laptop before. I just installed Gentoo onto it.
where
/dev/sda1 is windows
/dev/sda2 is also windows
/dev/sda3 is boot partition for gentoo
/dev/sda4 is root partition for gentoo
I installed Grub2 and did the # grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg
It found only the gentoo kernel.
and now, I can't boot into windows because the bootmenu only displays the gentoo kernel

00_header, 10_linux, 20_linux_xen, 30_os-prober, 40_custom, 41_custom, README |

And just to be sure. Do you have the proper fs for the windows partition compiled into your kernel. Most likely NTFS.

Okay, nvm. Its working now. I just restarted and reinstalled Gentoo except this time before I #grub2 mkconfig. I emerged the os-prober first |

No need to re-install the whole system! _________________ Important German:- "Aha" - German reaction to pretend that you are really interested while giving no f*ck.
