PostPosted: Tue Jul 08, 2014 9:53 am    Post subject: ERROR: DBD-mysql Reply with quote

Upgrading kdebase-meta desktop about 1 year old I got the error. In some moment, with respect of blocks, I had unmerged old version of DBD-mysql, hoping that it helps in upgrading. Now, I am trying to use

1. # emerge -uDNav --backtrack=9001 @world
2. # perl-cleaner --all

Both of them crashes on the same error
Code:

I prefer to start KDE desktop manually from terminal when I need (profile KDE). For the needs of this upgrade I have masked the following packages
Code:

sys-power/upower
sys-apps/gentoo-systemd-integration
sys-apps/systemd
sys-fs/udev

emerge -pqv '=sys-fs/udisks-2.1.3::gentoo'
Code:

[ebuild  N    ] sys-fs/udisks-2.1.3  USE="gptfdisk introspection -cryptsetup -debug (-selinux) -systemd"

This is the emerge --info
Code:

emerge --info

You've given quite a bit info - much of it useless.

Portage error messages are usually meaningless without their build log context.
Pastebin those build logs.

Below, I have pasted config logs mentioned in udisks build log file .
Code:

This file contains any messages produced by compilers while
running configure, to aid debugging if configure makes a mistake.

It was created by udisks configure 2.1.3, which was
generated by GNU Autoconf 2.69.  Invocation command line was

  $ ./configure --prefix=/usr --build=x86_64-pc-linux-gnu --host=x86_64-pc-linux-gnu --mandir=/usr/share/man --infodir=/usr/share/info --datadir=/usr/share --sysconfdir=/etc --localstatedir=/var/lib --libdir=/usr/lib64 --disable-silent-rules --disable-dependency-tracking --localstatedir=/var --disable-static --disable-debug --disable-gtk-doc --enable-introspection --with-html-dir=/usr/share/doc/udisks-2.1.3/html --with-udevdir=/lib/udev --with-systemdsystemunitdir=/usr/lib/systemd/system

First thing: paste!=pastebin, damn it.

Second, given the deps of those two packages, it's a clear perl-cleaner case.

Please find /var/tmp/portage/sys-fs/udisks-2.1.3/work/udisks-2.1.3/config.log http://bpaste.net/show/446724/

It seems I have some progress by emerged successfully:
Code:
# emerge -1av sys-fs/udisks:0
# emerge -1av XML-Parser
# emerge --backtrack=30 @preserved-rebuild
# emerge --unmerge mysql

Unmerging mysql shifted it and DBD-mysql in "emerge -uDNpv @world" to the end of the list of ebuilds prepared for upgading (behind kmail). In consequence, It was possible to
Code:
# perl-cleaner --all
and continue
Code:
# emerge -uDNpv @world

Such upgraded kmail-4.12 (akonadi-sever +mysql - sqlite) has found automatically the old 20GB mail database, kontacts, filters etc.
