|
|
Hi everybody,
it used to work fine before but now I get distorted sound over HDMI, my asound.conf is
Code: |
pcm.!default {
type hw
card 0
device 3
}
|
So this works fine apart from the overamplified noises in VLC. Driving volume levels on master down does not help at all, only muting S/PDIF in alsamixer makes it go completely quiet. As this appeared after some tests with a remote for volume control (I cannot recall which exact step lead to the failure) I guess the volume level on S/PDIF is too high. How can I reset it?
Best regards |

Make sure that the volume slider of VLC is not set past 100%; other than that, it could be that this is a specific bug with VLC. Have you tried another media player to see if you can reproduce it there? |
