How to use qmc2-mame to play games?

I don't know what is sdlmame executable file?
someone can give me a executable file about that ?
and how to play games in qmc2 next ?

qmc2 is a "frontend" of sdlmame, the last is the main programme - emulator and works with command lines only.

I use the version of qmc2 is qmc2-0.43,but i can't find /etc/game/sdlmame/mame.ini in my gentoo.
when i downloaded and archived it ,it just has sdlmame and other files and directories in it
so ,how to do next?
