C/C++ Volunteers ?

I am searching for people who would like to volunteer for the following project:

The astrology-program KAstrolog has not been maintained for a while and cannot be compiled
in a modern Linux environment any more. The Idea would be to start a continuation on Sourceforge.net
and change it enough to make it compile on modern systems.

A second step could be the making of an ebuild.

The source is currently located here: http://www.paganlink.org/library/astrology/kastrolog-5.4-1.1.tar.gz

(I have no idea why the program is hosted there - maybe it has something to do with the multiple authorship
of the program. The authors are well known but have split up and pursued individual paths.)

PS I am not a pagan. However I would not like to discuss religion or astrology in context with this idea.
