My AMD64 system installs /bin/pidof with sysvinit-2.88-r4 but my ARM system does not install it with sysvinit-2.88-r7. Why is that?

grant123 ... that is due to pidof having been removed from sysvinit ...
Code: | # equery changes sysvinit |awk -v RS="" '/20.Dec.2013/{print}'
20 Dec 2013; Lars Wendler <polynomial-c@gentoo.org> sysvinit-2.88-r6.ebuild:
Added an elog message about removed pidof tool |
I believe its now included in >=sys-process/procps-3.3.9. The reason for all this is to further accomodate systemd.
best ... khay |
