There is an bug in the minimal boot cd. This version here install-amd64-minimal-20140403.iso .
The bug is that once you are going to choose language my usb keyboard does not work, it works before and after the language selection screen. I cannot press any number to get to select my local language. It just doesn't work with this version. I don't know why this bugs happen, because they should not in reality. I hope this can be fixed in future minimal boot cd builds.
Update: This bug is also in March 2014 minimal boot dish. |

Passing on a question from the Gentoo Release Engineering team, do you have legacy USB support turned on in your BIOS settings?

Yes. This works in 2009 version of the minimal boot cd that I had and was able to use. This is 64 bit version of Gentoo Linux minimal cd. |
