Is there any way to mount *.dmg in gentoo?

Funny thing, I was able to overcome this by opening the offensive img-file with 7-zip in Wine. Sorry, I did not find a proper way, to do it on the command line. It looks like the (optional?) compression of the img-file did cause the troubles.
