It seems others have posted intros in here so it seems like a good place for me to start.
I am the LowEndGeek, real name Ken or Kenny (prefer Kenny) and I just installed gentoo for the 3rd time. The first time it was just a challenge to myself to see if I can do it, second time didn't pan out the way I wanted but this time things are going fantastic. I installed it for freedom, flexability and the fact that i've been using linux for almost eight years and I feel like I don't know nearly as much as I should at this point. Gentoo will be a great experience for me to learn and i'm willing to just jump right in.
i am 34 years old and just love tinkering around, I am glad to be here and I'll be lurking around the forums for a bit soaking in the knowledge. |

Let me welcome you with a game quote someone your age might remember:
"Another visitor. Stay a while. Stay forever!" _________________ Important German:- "Aha" - German reaction to pretend that you are really interested while giving no f*ck.
- "Tja" - German reaction to the apocalypse, nuclear war, an alien invasion or no bread in the house.

Thank you everyone. I've just been playing around and found some really interesting (to me) things. I just rebuilt the kernel for the 4th time (not because I had to but because i'm slimming it down). I appreciate the welcomes. |

Welcome to you too! (Although you have registered a while ago.) We need more developers around here. Or get frequent forum users to become developers... |

LowEndGeek,
Welcome to Gentoo.
Its as much fun as you can have with a computer since before operating systems were invented and it was just you and the hardware. _________________ Regards,
