It seems others have posted intros in here so it seems like a good place for me to start.

I am the LowEndGeek, real name Ken or Kenny (prefer Kenny) and I just installed gentoo for the 3rd time. The first time it was just a challenge to myself to see if I can do it, second time didn't pan out the way I wanted but this time things are going fantastic. I installed it for freedom, flexability and the fact that i've been using linux for almost eight years and I feel like I don't know nearly as much as I should at this point. Gentoo will be a great experience for me to learn and i'm willing to just jump right in.

i am 34 years old and just love tinkering around, I am glad to be here and I'll be lurking around the forums for a bit soaking in the knowledge.

Let me welcome you with a game quote someone your age might remember:
"Another visitor. Stay a while. Stay forever!" ;)

Thank you everyone. I've just been playing around and found some really interesting (to me) things. I just rebuilt the kernel for the 4th time (not because I had to but because i'm slimming it down). I appreciate the welcomes.

Welcome to you too! (Although you have registered a while ago.) We need more developers around here. Or get frequent forum users to become developers...

LowEndGeek,

Welcome to Gentoo.
Its as much fun as you can have with a computer since before operating systems were invented and it was just you and the hardware.
