Hi,
I'am searching for at tool to get a mountable devices about 3 or more Harddisks.
Usualy you would say take a Raid 0 but I'am looking for something that is similar
to an Raid0 but I like to be able to mount the Filesystem even if one or two disks
are gone. I keep in mind to loose Data but I like to have access to the files which
are not effected of the broken disk.

So, you don't want any protection offered by the higher RAID levels? If a drive fails, that data is lost? (Except for backups, of course.)

Hello,
I solved this with unionfs. With this fuse module I mapped the two harddisks into one directory.
Unionfs is doing the merge tasks. |
