Hallo,
ich habe bei meinem Laptop die Festplatte gewechselt (->SSD). Dazu habe ich ein Backup der alten Festplatte gemacht und das Backup auf die neue aufgespielt. Das System startet auch wie gewohnt. Allerdings zeigt mir i3status den Status der WLan Verbindung nicht mehr an.
Ich hab festgestellt, dass /proc/net/wireless, wenn ich es als User öffne, leer ist, d.h. der Eintrag zur Wireless Verbindung fehlt. Öffne ich diese Datei als root, ist dort der entsprechende Eintrag zu finden. Da das System 1:1 übernommen wurde, vermute ich ein Rechte-Problem. Auf meinem Desktop System lässt sich diese Datei nämlich als User öffnen. Allerdings wüsste ich nicht, wonach ich suchen muss. An welcher Stelle könnte ich da ansetzen?
Hat jemand vielleicht eine Idee?

Ergänzung (habe es im obigen Post vergessen): Mit der Datei an sich dürfte alles stimmen.

Das Problem muss irgendwo anders liegen...

Die Infos in /proc/net/wireless finde ich auch /proc/net/dev. Diese Datei lässt sich auch problemlos öffnen.

Es ist mir ein Rätsel, warum ich als User andere Infos bekomme als wenn ich es mit sudo öffne |

Also nur zum raten,
ist /proc auf deinen Maschinen unterschiedlich "gemountet"?

/proc ist hier meiner Meinung nach richtig gemountet:

Hätte mich auch stark gewundert, denn ich habe ja an dem System nichts verändert und die fstab ist ja auch gleich geblieben.
Ich konnte aber mittlerweile einen kleinen Teilerfolg erzielen. Ich habe wireless-tools und i3status erst entfernt und anschließend neu kompiliert. Jetzt funktioniert zumindest die Anzeige in der i3bar wieder obwohl /proc/net/wireless immer noch "leer" ist. |
