I have difficulty mounting my android tablet to my laptop through a usb
cable. As root in my laptop, I used the command

mount mtpfs /mnt/tab -t fuse -o user,noauto,allow_other

but I got the error message

Unable to open ~/.mtpz-data for reading, MTPZ disabled.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

mtpz is the 'microsoft mtp for zune' feature. Don't ask me anything more about it. If you don't have zune, you don't need it. Disable the mtpz or zune or whatever USE flag (not in front of my PC) of mtpfs and re-emerge.
