Hi

Ich musste mir einen neuen Rechner kaufen und hab eine neue Installation (bis jetzt nur Grundsystem) gerade gemacht.

Mir ist folgendes aufgefallen:

1. mein /etc/udev/rules.d ist leer, dafür ist /lib/udev/rules.d voll mit Regeln. Meine Netzwerkkarte wurde als enp3s0 hinzugefügt (anstatt eth0), womit mein Netzwerk nicht initialisiert werden konnte. Eine 70-persistent-net.rules Datei musste ich per Hand anlegen und mir fehlt auch auf, dass udev anscheinend diese Datei nicht mehr aktualisiert, da /lib/udev/write_net_rules nicht vorhanden ist. Hab ich da was verpasst?

2. Nachdem der boot-process fertig war, wurde der Bildschirm gelöscht und die Aufforderung zur Eingabe von Username & Password angezeigt. Mir wäre es lieber, wenn der Output der init.d Skripte nicht verschwindet, denn wenn irgendwo ein Fehler passiert, weiß ich nicht, was los ist. In /etc/rc.conf habe nichts gefunden, was dieses Verhalten verändert. Wer macht das und wie kann ich das zurücksetzen?

In /etc/inittab in folgende Zeilen mit -noclear ergänzen:

Edit meint noch: Wenn du an den rc-ausgaben interessiert bist, dann setze dir in der /etc/rc.conf doch auch noch

# rc_logger launches a logging daemon to log the entire rc process to
# /var/log/rc.log
# NOTE: Linux systems require the devfs service to be started before
# logging can take place and as such cannot log the sysinit runlevel.
rc_logger="YES"
Damit lässt sich das ganze dann jederzeit in der /var/log/rc.log nachverfolgen.

Und zudem eventuell auch noch

# boot so you can choose to start specific services. Set to "NO" to disable
# this feature. This feature is automatically disabled if rc_parallel is

rc_interactive="YES"
Damit kannst du dann die einzelnen Dienste bei bedarf auch beim booten interaktiv einzeln durchgehen.
Ja, OpenRC ist ne feine Sache :)

Ich hab auch kürzlich ein neues Gentoo-System aufgesetzt und bin über die Sache mit den neuen Namen für die Netzwerkgeräte gestolpert. Abgesehen davon, dass man diesbezüglich mal den Installationsleitfaden aktualisieren sollte ist das doch ne super Gelegenheit, die alten Zöpfe abzuschneiden ;-)

ja, das habe ich YES gesetzt, diese Option, dass man den Bootprozess unterbrechen kann, ist genial
