Installing Gentoo on assembled medium-high pc

I've already installed sometimes Gentoo on legacy pc, but now I would like to install it on a medium-high pc.

This is the configuration
(I list only this components becouse they worry me, if u need other details just say it):

CPU Intel Core i5-3470 3,2GHz
VGA Gainward nVidia GeForce GTX 660 TI Phantom Core 1006/1084MHz Memory GDDR5 6108MHz 2GB DVI HDMI
SSD Samsung 840 Series 128GB Pro Basic 2.5"
HD Seagate 1TB 3.5" 7200rpm 64MB SATA3

So I have some questions:

1) Can I use efficiently the CPU? Will be difficult to setup?
2) I usually use 2 monitors on the nVidia. Is this possible under Gentoo/Gnome?
3) I have Windows 8 installed on the SSD, and I'm using the 1TB Seagate for storage. On which disk should I install Gentoo?

then you can ignore the recommendations previously made, best to put win on the ssd on sata 1 connector (/dev/sda), gentoo on hard drive, (/dev/sdb) leave sda alone, setup grub on /dev/sdb, (the gentoo disk), and use the bios boot menu to select which disk (which OS) to boot. Windows 8 will fight to boot and may leave you bootless if grub rewrites the ssd boot loader.

With an Intel i5 should I choose amd64?

Ok, I burned the iso image but while starting the Gentoo minimal, boot freezes on
"Checking your configfile (/etc/syslog-ng/syslog-ng.conf)"
I have tried again to reburn the disc, but without succes.
The only thing that I can think is that I could try to burn the minimal on a CD (I'm trying with DVDs, because is the only thing I have on the moment)
Please help me! I really need Gentoo

Are you suggesting to install gentoo without the minimal cd but only with this SystemRescueCd? It has everything I need?

yes
it is gentoo based but with far better hardware support
the gentoo cd is minimal to make the download smaller
the install cd does not become any part of the final install, it only provides a running linux system
in fact, you can install from any running linux of the right bitness that supports the chroot command

Also SystemRescueCd freezes but on "Waiting for uevents"

is this is a direct hardware install or are you trying to install to a virtual machine?
try a current ubuntu livecd, even more ubiquitous than sysresccd,
the hardware you listed should not be a problem

It is a direct hardware install. I've already tried Ubuntu but freezes too. :roll:

if "reset cmos" has meaning to you, shut down and unplug power and reset cmos
reboot, enter bios,set your bios to default settings -- under the exit heading on the screen
under boot, select the NON UEFI cd to be first to boot, most uefi bios will display the cd twice, once legacy, once uefi -- if sysresccd shows a black and white opening choice screen it has loaded in uefi mode; if in color it started in legacy bios mode
check your bios for secure boot or tpm (trusted platform module) or weird settings -- things enabled that you don't have or disabled that you do have -- if you have secure boot or tpm disable them
what is the make and model of your motherboard?
