Help installing Gentoo on a UEFI Laptop, live disk wont run

I'm getting my download from http://distfiles.gentoo.org/releases/ia64/autobuilds/current-iso/install-ia64-minimal-20130806.iso. When i have it on CSM boot (Only other option from UEIF) it sys "No Operating System Found", so that doesnt work, then when i go to UEFI it looks like its going to load, but stays on a blackpage with my backlight on, it looks like its just about to boot grub but it never does. Im assuming its a grub issue on the Disk, but not sure what to do about it.

When i have CSM boot on i can boot up Fedora 15 which is what i have booted up right now. Fedora 15 doesnt boot in UEFI for some reason though it's supposed to.

You can install Gentoo from any live or installed Linux system. You only need a shell and tar/partitioning tools.

The installation process is almost the same, the only step you have to skip is mirrorselect (but that can be done later from the installed system).

If you are going to dual boot may I suggest https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/UEFI_Dual_boot_with_Windows_7/8 using system rescue cd or USB
